About Tom

A native Houstonian, Tom Morin received a B.A. in Studio Art from Southwestern University, Georgetown, TX in 1994. For four years, he worked as a photography assistant in New York City and Austin for dozens of commercial photographers, including Les Jorgensen, Harry Heleotis, James Porto and Moshe Katvan (New York City) as well as Tomas Pantin and Rick Patrick (Austin). Returning to Houston, he opened his own photography business and worked for multiple clients including publications and commissions focusing on editorial portraiture. Continuing his dual interests in photography and business, he also worked as VP/Managing Editor of the Daily Court Review newspaper.

Later matriculating as a graduate student to Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, he taught photography fundamentals and advanced photography techniques. Tom received an M.F.A. in Photography in 2004. His work has been exhibited regionally and nationally and is included in public and private collections. Tom relocated to Houston where he became President/Chief Operating Officer of the Daily Court Review newspaper. A fourth generation owner of a newspaper that serves the legal and business communities, Tom assumed the role of Publisher/President in January 2006. Tom continues his photographic work alongside his role of publisher.
